Carbon Footprint of Freight Transport
COFRET is a collaborative research and demonstration project, part-funded by the European Commission, which will deliver a methodology for the calculation of the carbon footprint along the full supply chain. Its methodology draws upon existing initiatives already being developed by various stakeholders in the supply chain. This is supplemented by stakeholder consultation and a gap analysis so that any missing elements in the existing methods can be identified and plugged. The project offers practical applications to be incorporated in the standardised supply chain management systems.
