This document is the Annual 2009-2010 Update of the Policy Recommendations report from PROPS in terms of Promotion of SSS and Intermodality. This report summarizes key legislative actions in the maritime domain as well as relevant actions in the transportation domain. The objective is to provide recommendations to the European Commission (and to the SSS Stakeholder Community) based on outcomes from the PROPS project, while taking into consideration other relevant developments external to the project.

Scope

The recommendations focus on the promotion of SSS and Intermodality, which aim to inform, demonstrate, support and facilitate the development of SSS and Intermodality in Europe. Areas covered for policy recommendations include: EU Legislations; EU Funding; Technical Support from the EC; Awareness Raising / Perception of SSS and intermodality; Knowledge diffusion, Education, Training; R&D and Innovations; Coordination and Business Networking service providers; European logistics and transport demand.
