PROPS WP 4 second training session took place in Munich during the Transport Logistics 2011, 10-13th May, in New Munich Trade Fair Centre. The event was attended by seven out of 23 operational SPCs. These SPCs geographically represent various parts of the Europe. International Exhibition for Logistics, Mobility, IT and Supply Chain Management in Munich is the world´s largest fair for transport and logistics. The venue was chosen to provide a logistical synergy to SPCs. Many of them were already attending the exhibition due to own European Shortsea network’s stand. The venue functioned as intended, thus it was easier to encourage SPC to participate while they were already at the premises. On the other hand, overlap with the exhibition caused the absence of the actively operating local SPC, ShortSeaShipping Inland Waterway Promotion Center Germany. The topic of this second SPC session was “Practical business planning and effective promotional activities with the help of PROPS tools – adding value to SPCs’ customers”.
