Baltic Sea - Sustainable Shortsea Shipping Solutions

16 June 2010 Turku, FinlandThe Baltic Sea - Sustainable Shortsea Shipping Solutions seminar gathered together nearly sixty specialists within the Shortsea shipping community from ten different countries. A wide range of experts from industry, maritime organisations, research institutions and authorities were represented, providing a fruitful forum for discussions from widely different viewpoints. The seminar was part of the PROPS (Promotional platform for short sea shipping and intermodality) project, the partners of which were also actively participating.

Baltic Sea - Sustainable Shortsea Shipping Solutions was part of the PROPS work package 6, task 6.3. Regional marketing workshops and final conference. WP 6 carries out a European-wide dissemination and promotional campaign of Short Sea Shipping. During the PROPS project time, 3 regional marketing workshops are being arranged. The marketing event in Turku was the first one of these and concentrated on the Baltic Sea area. The seminar was arranged in co-operation with SPC Finland and other SPCs in northern Europe.
